Some history: The CB model prefix on Gates/Harris turntables comes from Cora B. Gates, Parker Gates' mother. Parker Gates the founder of Gates Radio Company, who was purchased by the Harris Corporation in 1957. The Gates Radio name continued until 1975, when the broadcast equipment changed to Harris branding. With the spin off of the broadcast equipment division, the company's Radio and TV broadcast line is now known as GatesAir.
